house hunting (or travel!) outfit

We’ve been sooooo busy, but I wanted to share this outfit super quick because we could all use a couple more lounge outfits by now. 😉

I LOVE the oversized sweater look and I rock it quite often. It’s comfy for travel, it’s easy for mom duties and I still feel put together. Leggings are essential and these are awesome; they’re super stretchy (but don’t stretch out!), they come in two styles (regular and high waist), lots of sizes (xxs included!) and if you wait for a sale, super affordable. 🙂

Stay safe and stay tuned!

So it’s really hard to see, but my sweater has these cute little flecks of pastel color all over it. As soon as I saw it my mind went straight to Easter. I actually found this LOFT sweater at my local Goodwill for $3.79! It is one of my favorite sweaters and most definitely one of my favorite Goodwill purchases to date.

Since we’re all staying home for Easter this year, this outfit would be totally appropriate for a casual dinner at home. Although we’re taking casual to the max for our Easter dinner (hello, bunny slippers!), I figured I’d share it for those of you who still want to get gussied up a bit more. 🙂

Although my sweater is no longer for sale (you may luck out and find one on Poshmark), I was able to find three very similar sweaters currently for sale and one that I will definitely be purchasing to hold onto for when this one bites the dust.

let’s get cozy

(and oh my god you guys, don’t look at the mess!)

As the time frame for staying at home gets longer with each passing day, I’m finding myself going up and down on the emotional scale ALL DAY LONG and I’ve been craving comfort. Lots of coffee, meals like mama used to make, longer hugs, I’ve even been finding comfort in the normalcy of my neighbor taking her dog out to potty.

As a stay at home mom, I already rock lounge wear 90% of the time but my lounge wear drawer is full of clothes that have been semi ruined or are just okay so I only wear them at home. So I took this opportunity to buy myself some new pieces. And to highlight the favorites I already owned. 😉 read the post

my spring wardrobe must haves

It’s beginning to look a lot like…SPRING?!

Yes, folks, spring is coming in just three short weeks. As much as I LOVE fall and winter, I’ve started seeing two other someones. 😉 The older I get, the more I’ve started to see and enjoy the beauty in things I once didn’t. So mature, I know.

Living in Virginia, our seasons are pretty mild and we get to enjoy the best of each every year. I’ve definitely grown quite fond of the differences in the seasons and cannot wait to update my wardrobe for spring this year.

Wow. Oh, wow.

It has been over a month since my last post. Full disclosure: I haven’t been all that inspired as far as outfits go. I’ve been kind of slumpy the past week and I think it’s a combination of the changing seasons, trying to get readjusted from our beach trip and trying to squeeze as much as possible into my schedule. I’ve been struggling to find that sweet spot in the balance of every day life and momming is winning.
